Mark- sorry, I somehow ran across your blog during an evening of google searching last night... think A.D. was involved. Anyway, your posting: I remember one time going to the City with a friend. After having dinner and drinks, we ended up at a friend of her's watching One Day in September. It was made even more intense by the fact that the friends we were visiting were 22 hours into a 24-hour cocaine binge. They were totally into it. I cannot stress how INTO this film they were.

I heard a review of Munich on NPR the other day, and am looking forward to seeing it. Not quite holiday faire, but none the less, I haven't been itching to see a movie like this in a while. Per our usual MO, we'll probably have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

Whoa, Mischa! Long time (and don't worry, that's what it's here for). Anyhow, yeah, "One Day" seems like one of those movies that's more for the stimulant crowd than the hallucinagen crowd (though I imagine after 22 hours, everything is going to be completely edge-of-your-seat fascinating).

And yeah, it's not really "Holiday" fare, and I realize that's like a thme with me this year. The three movies I want to see right now are that, Syriana and Good Luck and Good Night, none of which seems like a feel-good comedy.

Anyhow, it was nice hearing from you, Merry Christmas as well!

I've been to exactly 2 movies this year, one of which is Good Night and Good Luck... talk about feeling ignorant of history... I know virtually nothing of that period, making my appreciation for the story somewhat muted. But I thought the film was beautiful. Wait until you hear the music score... it's wonderful.
